To The Parents Of Toxic Children

In this toxic body
I just feel out of place
The food I eat is "normal"
And so is my living space
But what they do not tell me
And what I do not know
Is toxins fill my body
Every where I go
They're in my food
And in my hair
They're on my clothes
And in the air
Toxins in my bottled water
And even from my sink
I feed them to my children
As they eat and drink
Their tiny bodies can take it, right?
At least this is what I think
But as I realize the truth
my heart begins to sink
They are fine today
And possibly tomorrow
But what about the next day?
Or their future life of sorrow
You see, today they're fine
But they'll still live exactly as they please
Because you've shown them what is "normal"
But each choice leads to disease
It may start off simple
or even go un-noticed
But the more that I connect the dots
It's the truth that keeps me focused
God made my body perfect
in it's ability to heal
And now I know the food I eat
Affects the way I feel
Toxic body, toxic hair
And even toxic thoughts
We have the power to change all these
By the knowledge we are taught
Tiny choices day by day
Can change our childrens lives
Or even help our parents
Or our husbands, or our wives!
We get sicker and sicker
Each moment of every day
Or we can choose the alternative
We know a better way!
Don't start on Monday
Or tomorrow or next year
Your power is in the moment
Right now, right here.

The love we have for our children is powerfully moving. We would do anything and everything for them. Knowlege is power. Know what it is that's in your food, water, and products in our day to day life. Just because it's "normal" doesn't mean its right and it most definitely doesn't mean we have to abide by it! There is power in our choices and our lives and the lives of our children depend on those choices. We can teach them better. We can guide them better. We can do better in our lives for them! Fast food, processed food, and other convenience items may save us time now, but I can assure you we pay for it later. Health is wealth, y'all.
